Donald “Smitty” Smith serves as Vice President of Construction for Thrift Development. Smith has been with Thrift Development since its founding in 1994, and previously worked for Thrift Brothers, Inc. with founders Glenn and Gary Thrift. Smith has more than 40 years of road construction experience and is well respected in the construction community. His current responsibilities include managing construction projects as the general superintendent for all Thrift Development projects.

Smith lives in Westminster, South Carolina with his wife, Karen. In his spare time he enjoys rebuilding classic cars and attending car shows around the south.
